… of a home colour consultant …

Footwear is never far from my mind as I plan my appointments for the week ahead.  As I spend far too much time thinking about wildly inappropriate and impossible gorgeous shoes I had to do an about-turn and think hard about the consequences of turning up on-site in The Wrong Footwear.  Many of the properties I visit are being finished off around me so a good heavy pair of boots – particularly ones with thick soles to keep the creeping cold at bay are essential.

But on the other hand if a property has already been beautifully and stylish decorated throughout and I have been asked to advise on colours for a guest-room & en-suite or a series of rooms in a loft conversion, the heavy boots would mean a sharp intake of breath and look of horror as my client opens the door to me.  So I carry a pair of soft soled slip-ons and, usually while balancing on one foot and chatting, adjust my footwear to suit the occasion.  Everyone happy.
